Default Check your transmission mount and crossmember mounts!

Got new tires on and still had a vibration in the car. Already have FMS aluminum driveshaft, but decided to check the transmission and crossmember mounts in case the driveline angle had changed.

Everything "looked" ok, but a new transmission mount was about 1/2" taller and the old crossmember bushings were so stretched out they just fell out of the crossmember. The new Prothane bushings raised another 1/2" or so.

What a difference! There is zero vibration in the seat or floor boards now. After a rebalance of the front tires, the car is finally wonderfully smooth!

If you have a vibration in the seat or that you can see in the dash, check those mounts!

Was the vibration through the rpms or only at certain speeds?
    I have a vibration at around 2000rpm.

The driveline angles might have been off until you put new mounts on

The car was smooth until 75+. Then it would start a high frequency vibration. 70% better after replacing the mounts then a front wheel balance got it the rest of the way.

If you get a vibration at 2000rpm, is it also there revving the engine in neutral? That would tell you if it's engine related or not. 2000rpm is also 80mph for me on the highway in 5th. Need to narrow down the source of the vibration.

That was my thought. Definitely a drive line angle thing.
