Default How does dash/vent piece come off above glove box?

Ok I feel like I am going to snap this in half?

How does that piece above the glove box come off?
The solid painted piece with dash vents......

    Thank you!

There are two self threading nuts that hold it on by the two plastic posts molded into the part.

Yes, if you pull hard enough you will destroy it.

Take the glove box out and you may be able to get your hand up there to feel around.

    What he said.

If you drop the glove box door, you can look up under the dash and see the plastic posts and (I think) stamped steel nuts coming through the dash in front of the heater ducting. DO NOT try to pry the panel off. It won't come off that way without breaking.

on my old 85 I reattached it with velcro. It was too big a pain to pull it and I didn't want to ever do it again.
