Default Anyone have pics of how this convertible seal installs?

Bought new ones of these because my old ones are torn. I'm not sure if mine were installed right to begin with. Does anyone have a low mile car or have a pic of how they are supposed to go?

It looks like the extra flap of rubber is supposed to go under the outer quarter window trim?

And the inside top screw hole -- does that go under the door weather strip?

And on the outside, the repro piece has an extra hole. Why is that?

    Thanks

You are correct from what I remember on the convertible models. I don't have any to take pictures of, but those tabs should go under the other weatherstripping and molding.

As for the extra hole, most likely the later model cars had the extra hole to do a better job of holding the weatherstripping down. You can easily drill another hole and insert the clip to hold it in place. Good Luck!

Oh perfect! That all makes sense now.

Only other question now...where do you get those plastic push rivets from? They are smaller and different than the plastic ones NPD sells.

I would recommend checking out your local auto part stores such as Oreilly's, Pep Boys, AZ, etc. first. They may have what you need either in the HELP section or the small selection of auto clips. Lowe's also carries some auto clips that may work too. If none of those work out, your local auto body paint supplier may have what you need. There are multiple options online for automotive clips, but you will need to have some specs or at least some size information to order what you need. Good Luck!
