    Default 86 Clutch in 84

Just confirming my Four Eyed fox knowledge.....

To replace the 10” clutch in a 1984GT with and 86+ 10.5” clutch you need the flywheel, clutch, and pressureplate from an 86+. Flywheel needed is 50oz imbalance.

10” clutch uses a different bolt pattern on the pressureplate than the 10.5”

if memory serves you could put a 10” disc under a 10.5 pressureplate but why.....

Have to watch clearance on the pressureplate vs bellhousing

Are you lost , or just drinking too much ?
That is pretty much correct .
I dont think the flywheel is any larger in diameter , just change the bolt pattern to accommodate the larger disc.
I have an 11" clutch in my 84 Gt Ttop.
But I have a 68 block , and all aftermarket internals , still 28 oz balance , it is also a stroker .
I use a dual friction disc and pressure plate from Centerforce .
Ford motorsport throw out bearing and pilot .
Ford clutch cable , no aftermarket cable .
Couple years back , probably 5 or so , when I built my T5z , I had a clutch pedal squeak , and had a factory new ford quadrant, installed it , did not go aftermarket .
It works fine , nitrous and all .

    I .
    Maybe not enough..... lol

Just double checking. Was 99% certain the info was accurate, but it’s better to verify before parts are ordered

Yea, both flywheels are 157 tooth.

Helping a friend get his car back together..... The ol 2.3L T5 with 6202 input shaft bearing behind a 5.0L and all.

BTW - is that the correct pilot bearing for the 2.3 T5 behind a 5.0 ?
