Default 1985 7.5" rear end questions

Do the brake kits that are designed to swap the drums to disc on 8.8" rear ends fit the 7.5" rear ends that came with the car? I'd like to keep the rear end the factory rear, rebuilt with some gears and add disc brakes. The car won't be going much above factory power for my GT. Thanks in advance.

    They should fit .
You can put the drum brakes from the 7.5 , onto the 8.8 , so I would think so .
Problem you may find , is most of the disc swaps , also convert to 5 lug .

From the research I have done the 7.5 and 8.8 axle end flanges are the same so the brackets should work fine. I am planning on using the NRC brackets on the 7.5 in my car until I can get an 8.8 ready to go in.
