Default Looking for some speakers for my 84 gt

Hey all, looking for some recommendations on some 3.5 and some 6x8 speakers for my fox. Something that is pretty much a direct drop in with no mods. Also do I need to buy any adapters for a direct hook up and if so which one?

    Thanks

Default Looking for some speakers for my 84 gt

I bought these dash speakers for my 85 gt, simple install. I didn’t use the adapters but they have them too. I just cut the factory wires and soldered ends.

    Pioneer TS-A878 3 1/2 Inch 2-Way Speakers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00009QOTA..._4lEGBbA5FJYNC

I bought these for my rears -

    Kicker CSC68 6x8" Coaxial Speaker Pair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MATSCQ9..._SpEGBb7XPFJHA

I do believe there were recommended on another thread on here.

Any speakers that fit will be an upgrade over stock.
I used all pioneer speakers in my ‘83,
3-1/4 front I believe and 5” in the doors.

I always just use whatever is easily available, my wagon has clarion speakers and I’m happy with those too

Thanks for the info. When you say you say you didnt use adapters but they have them too does that mean they come with the adapters or are they ordered separately?

Also looking at these for my 6x8

Thanks, figured so. Do you know which ones to get? Seems the closest ones I can find are for 89 and up.

I’m looking on my phone and my eyes aren’t too good. I can look later on my computer or maybe someone else may chime in.

Do these 3.5" bolt in with no modifications to dash or dash pad ?
