Nice job. I tinkered with my car a bit this weekend also.

Getting closer with the Mark VII rear end - https://youtu.be/7b2TIaPLQgg
Do you have a plan for connecting the rear brake line to the axle? When I swapped the 8.8 into my car, I just disconnected the lines at the brake cylinders from the 7.5 and reconnected them on the 8.8. But I don't know if that works for the Mark VII rear(disc brakes). It wasn't a perfect fit because the center of the 8.8 is larger, but it can be made to work. I guess the 'correct' way to do it is to use the center brake line bracket (being reproduced now: https://lmr.com/item/LRS-2073BRKT/mu...-bracket-86-93), but this also requires rerouting the rear line on the chassis to get to the bracket. I have all these parts for mine, just haven't installed them yet.

It was nasty out there yesterday for sure. But it was a fruitful day.
I do think I will probably end up doing that LMR kit. Hoping to have everything hooked up next week to be able to evaluate that situation best. I'm a little worried about how big the line is that gets to the back of car is. Because it's smaller than the lines currently on the axle. I hope to have a friend whom I trust come over and help me evaluate that situation. Because if I have to upsize that line (that goes through the interior of the car), I might end up fabbing up some other solution in the process.
Some people just run a new prebent line all the way from the front, it runs along the frame rail. I did this on another car. I've also seen where the existing line is bent over to where that bracket mounts. That might involve upsizing the fitting, I'm not sure. There's probably a thread in brakes section of this forum.
I should probably be more ambitious than this, but that's why the priority is to get the axle and springs and what not all reinstalled in the car first. Then start to assess what my options are for the brake set-up.
Feel like I can mentally wrap my head around all of that 1) when I'm able to sit there and physically look at where everything lands, and 2) when I don't have the other work hanging over my head as things left to do. I feel like the concentration will be better.
Not trying to push you Grant. Work at your own pace. Just was curious is all. It's all good.
Oh no...I didn't take it that way, was being more self reflective out loud! haha. I did get the driveshaft connected tonight, so maybe some other night this week I can get to the links. Didn't get the flange torqued down yet, but I put it on the list. I did blue locktite the bolts.
Hoping I don't have to mess with this rearend ever again!

Good work. I think the oil bronzed color will look good with your car.
What does muratic acid do? Just clean the wheel for paint?

Wrenching in flip flops... you maniac LOL. I would at least get 2 good tires to go with your current 2 good ones.

Tire City in Olathe sells used tires, and I think the Pick and Pull lots do as well. Just trying to come up with some ideas for you.

I rarely am out there in flip flops. Since I wasn't really doing much actual wrenching that's why I didn't put shoes on. If I'm using any tools or grinders, I have shoes on. Yea, I think I'll eventually buy brand new tires after I do burnouts in the two crap tires.
Cool car and build. Will follow along and see how it goes!
Hey thanks MisterNitro! I just uploaded a new episode tonight...got it down to the ball joints on the front.

If you wouldn't mind subscribing to me over on YouTube, I'd appreciate that! I'm in a competition with another YouTuber this month to try and see who can get 100 subs first in a month. Right now, I usually only get about 30-35 new subs in a month, so I'm trying to push myself!
