I know you know this, but please use jack stands whenever you're working under any car. It makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck to see you working with only the hydraulic jack supporting the car. Just a tip from an old man.
Good luck with your brake troubles. We all get bummed out fighting a nagging problem.
Absolutely! I never crawl under a car without it being on jackstands or its own 4 wheels. If I'm changing a tire or something, staying outside of the wheel well yes I may only leave it on the floor jack, but if I'm in "creeper position" laying down looking up at a car, it's always on jackstands or all four wheels!

I'm not sure, but ive "heard" that the tilt of the MC in the car may inhibit getting all the air out of it. Definite progress! Good job!!!
That is why they said bench bleed with MC level in vise.

I got the calipers clearanced. It's better than in the video, still not perfect. I do believe passenger side front is still sticking, but that's an easy fix.

Excited for what Wednesday's upload could be
That pipe you referred to as o2 pipe, should be the air injection pipe from the smog pump. If you are eliminating the rear cats, there is no need for that pipe to be there. It just helps get the cats up to operating efficiency quicker.

Someone else alerted me of that on a facebook group...and I later found the actual o2 sensors this past week to for sure kill that error on my part.

I appreciate what you're trying to do and applaud your discipline.
I can't say I'm not disappointed that means your leaving The Fairmont Life though. One small point for your consideration though: most of us with project cars don't build them to flip, whether that's by design, like in my case, or because the spending got out of hand. So, it could be said that your project car experience is not typical if you look at it that way. Just food for thought.
That said, there are LOTS of times I think I'd be a lot happier if I dumped my car and started over. If not, getting out of it completely. So, I get that too!
On a side note, there's a Futura in the FYI Cars forum in Washington that's just like yours you might find inspirational. The engine looks like an original 302, but the seller says it's a '95 roller. I THINK it even has the 2-barrel intake on it!

Every time I build a car, I want to sell it, burn it, crush it etc from time to time.
i feel like that is kinda normal.

Brad, thanks for the words of encouragement! I think it's best for the long term growth of my channel.
And well, I certainly (pun intended) threw a wrench into things over the weekend that made this all more difficult - https://youtu.be/zgzNFZ-MWMs
Aw, man that is so frustrating! Especially with the end in sight! I'll be thinking of you when I have the pleasure of pulling my trans back out this weekend 'cuz I f***ed something up too!

I thought something really bad happened. It sounds like you were going to reseal the oil pan anyway. If you have to take the timing cover off while the pan is off so be it. Not the end of the world. Just some extra time.

A friend of mine came over and bore scoped it this week, and we found it in the pan. So at night this week, i got the sway bar off. Yesterday I pulled the steering rack and was able to get all the oil pan bolts off and get the pan to drop. But no way the pan was coming out, nor me having good space to scrape off old gasket. So today I got the motor off the mounts and put some 2x4 spacers. This gave me enough room, albeit painful for me to spend most of my day scraping off old gasket on the engine block, because the pan wasn't going to be able to come out of the car even with the added space. But I got it all off today. Got a 1-piece gasket ordered at O'Reilley's and it came in this evening. So hopefully tomorrow night I'll have a new oil pan gasket installed, oil pan bolts in and motor mounts back on. And I will back to where I was before I sent that socket to the oil pan.
Last week I got the oil pan gasket changed and that socket out - https://youtu.be/USDiKWQZiN0
