So while I wait on Jegs to exchange my broken Water Temp gauge, this week I started getting prepped for my 5-lug conversion...well sort of anyway. I started to prep my 17" steel wheels for paint. https://youtu.be/ZDPgV1zDc4c

It's like every time I get something fixed on the gauge pod, something else malfunctions...https://youtu.be/iNqmn8uVg5k
This is my '79 F/Z with a non-beige color. I remember that beige color back then. I don't know what we were thinking back in the '70s, but I do know that I probably had a pair of bell-bottomed pants (and platform shoes) in that exact same plaid color as what's in the interior of his Futura. ;-)
Your wheel/tire combo looks spot on!
Thanks! I've got those wheels put away for the winter and have a set of 16-inch 1995 Mustang GT standard wheels on right now.
Also, I still have those plaid front buckets and rear bench seat. The seats in there now are beige-ish/brownish vinyl. I know the Age of Plaid seats aren't going back into the interior of this FairStang because I'm going to restomod it for the most part with a mix of '86 Mustang GT and other parts inside. And also because plaid brings back too many memories of my teen years in the late 1970s. ;-)

Yea, those are exactly my seats!
Here's the latest update on my build. Not much this week. I'd say hopefully the next 1.5 months will end up being a huge turning point for my car though, especially thanks to a member on this forum.

Can I assume that you've taken a look at the above thread?
Yes. Been through it several times. There's very little info on Ranger front Rotors. Luckily I was able to by-pass all of that since Erratic50 sold me his old set-up. Also if you watched the video, I mention how I had mis-read some other info from that thread (though I don't actually reference the thread itself), thinking that the axle I bought was 1.25" wider total than stock...rather it's 1.25" wider on either side.
I hope to have it mocked up by the end of the month though.
So you have the front set up? I put '87+ GT front spindles/calipers/rotors on mine, but I stayed 4 lug. I think all I would need for 5 lug is Mark VII rotors. This gives the larger 11" discs. I also added the GT sway bars front and rear while I was under there.

I have the parts, they're not on yet. Hypothesizing that I'll need to run some spacers, but I know a good place to get some 7/32" spacers that are 5 on 4.5" if need be. Going to mock it up without first.

Going to try and pick these up today for the car! https://youtu.be/pIu6tXZyLEA
Looks like a good shop, I need to call them with my heads and get a quote. Thanks!

What valve springs did you wind up installing on the heads? Thanks Grant.

Went with stock valve springs since I have zero intention of doing a cam swap on the budget build. I'm going to run out of money anyway. I was wanting to do some 1.7 Rockers, but I don't think that will end up being in the budget either. The way things are looking right now, is I probably end up in the 5-10% over budget range.
