Brings back memories. I had one much like it; color, trim, sick cylinder auto. A 5.0 is just what it needs.

Thanks all, when I saw it, I had to buy it. Solid floors, rails, doors and basically everything. Interior is intact and pretty good but will need dash pad, speaker grills and a few other small items. I have sourced 87+ brakes and so forth will probably leave the stock rear as the motor going in is a stock HO.

It has these add on door window trim pieces I have never seen before but it appears to be on the invoice. I am guessing sans the screw holes.

    Found this in the car:

The trim on the doors and quarter panel under the windows was an OEM option. I have the same trim on my 79 PC, and I often see the trim on convertible models. I am sure FoxChassis will educate us on what option or trim package they were offered with.

'Black door belt moulding' was standard on the 1979 3-door sedan and 1979 Ghia 3-door sedan.

It is the fifth line item on the above invoice (#3 copy).

I saw it on the invoice, but wasn't sure if it was standard or part of a specific trim option, model, etc.

So once again, you have schooled me!

Were they screwed on or was this a "quick fix"?

    Update:

The I6 runs perfectly, no noise, knocks or smoking, but the C4 is leaking badly around the pump but the car will move. I6 runs so well I believe I will rebuild the C4, clean engine bay, repaint, do a few interior repairs and call it a day. Best thing is, no rust top or bottom.
I have modified the paint code and replaced the fine metallic with a medium; should make the paint a bit brighter in the sun. I will be restoring the original 14" wheels and keeping them on the car for now, any idea how much tire I can get on these rims?

It is a change from black or red but it is a lot of blue. Was thinking of going black on the carpet since it needs replacing anyhow.

Axle is most likely a 6.75", so search out a 7.5 or 8.8 from that 87.

I'll PM you. Earlier 3.3's are really clean engines, and I ship containers from Compton LA.

Sounds like a new $10 front seal might fix it. I had the same problem on a 79 Granada flipper. Nice car.
