I am restoring a 1986 ASC Capri and it does not have hood scoop. I have a hood scoop off of a 1982 mustang and am wanting to put it on the Capri hood. The question is, is there any potential problems to the hood in adding the scoop.

There shouldn't be any issues other than there now being holes in your hood if you ever wanted to remove the scoop.
If you look at the inner structure of the hood, you will most likely notice there are supports in the area for the scoop mounting hardware. I can't guarantee they are there, but I just swapped an 85 RS hood onto my 82 RS and the inner structure was almost identical between the two. I still laid out and measured the mounting holes on the top of the hood, but it was nice to know that I was located correctly before drilling any holes. Good Luck!
