Good post. Allows one to take time refreshing memory of a circuit by viewing wire diagrams.
The correct year Ford EVTM manual is handy for doing this.
Have 1979 EVTM. Other years wiring may or may not have different wire colors and circuits for washer pump.
Manual shows pk/y wire from washer fluid level switch to washer fluid low light on console LED module, if equipped.
Power in wire controlled by washer fluid level switch in washer fluid reservoir.
Low fluid LED lights if washer fluid is below a predetermined level in reservoir.
Can assume pk/y wire is not powered all the time. EVTM does not explain when.
Black/white wire is, key on.
Two wires to pump:
Power to pump is bk/w, black is ground to fender.

That is great info. I have photocopies of wiring and they suck, I guess I need a good manual
I am plannning on using it for my elec fan and msd box
