Thanks! A lot of work, but very satisfying!

This is what an orange Griot's pad looks like afterwards. The black is dead metallic paint. I went through a couple of these pads as well as another generic pad.

Just caught up on this thread. Really enjoying the information, car and journey!

Any chance the #17 mark on the fan shroud is a factory marking?

I wonder what the #17 is. Maybe one of the experts can chime in?

    Nice job!

The pin stripe on the rear spoiler, is it paint or tape? Mine is tape that i will be removing. How do you recommend I remove my pin stripe?

That's paint, and I decided to leave it. But it also had a tape stripe which was VERY difficult to remove. I tried, heat, solvents, plastic razors, an eraser wheel, buffing, etc. The tape itself came off, but it's adhesive backing was very stubborn. I finally got it off, but you have to be careful, the paint on these Foxes is super thin.

At the part's store. Is this 1982 or 2018? BTW, got my first, "Hey nice car", today.

BTW, that check valve really doesn't want to come off. I cracked the air tube trying. New air tube should be here this week.

Wow! What a transformation! I LOVE 82s and yours looks fantastic! Where in New Mexico did you find it? I used to live there and still have a house in the Albuquerque area. So glad LMR has the 16 inch TRX wheels. My brother has a 25k mile 79 Pace Car and they look great on his car. I just picked up a low mile 86 GT t top car here in Vegas. It needs a little attention too but I am really enjoying it.

Thanks! The car spent it's entire life in Las Cruces. There is not even the slightest hint of rust ANYWHERE on this car, it's amazing.

I've been following along with your '86. Love that car! Congrats!

Thanks. We'll see what happens. I'm in no rush. But I do have a wandering eye with cars and limited space.

BTW, any recommendations for a clutch kit? LMR has one, but a couple on Rock Auto are way cheaper.
