    Default Car cover recommendations

    Hello all:

I'm starting to research outdoor car covers online for my 82 coupe. I want a good sturdy cover that protects my car from all the elements with a nice inside layer that won't scratch my paint at all. Ding protection isn't a huge requirement for me if all the other protective aspects of the cover do a great job.

I'd love to get all of your opinions on which covers you like the most. Please let me know in this thread if you can. I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thank you

I've been using these for a couple of years, they work great.

    There are 2 i use.
Weathershield HD, light weight and easy to wash
Sunbrella, a bit heavier, canvas like.

It’s all about the fabric and not so much the brand. Look for the warranty too. The stitching and elastic will go first. Non are waterproof and you really don’t want waterproof as it will trap water under it.

I use that one inside to block the dust.

Stay away from Budge brand. JUNK. I have several CoverCraft brand and they work great. Buy a cable and lock for it to run under the car. That way if it gets really windy it stays put. I have one of these covers that is over ten years old and I still use it. The elastic around the bottom is stretched out completely but I use it inside now so it doesn't matter.

Id pick up the gust guards over just a cable set up. They sit in front of the front wheels and behind the rear wheels and really hold the cover in place. Hate to go running after a couple hundred dollar car cover after it takes off.
