black wire needs a home.

I am currently putting a 1986 Capri back to gether that was taken apart by someone else and found this loose wire. Where does it go? Ground wire? or is there something missing that it needs to hooked up to. it came out of a set of 3 wires (a blue wire(yellow wire end) and looks like a brown wire, both attached to the left terminal on the solenoid).

On my car that wire is mounted between the solenoid housing and the inner fender, behind the screw that is above the 12V stamping on the solenoid. Make sure it has a good ground.

Does it dead end at the clip? Like he said, looks like a ground.
