BTW - we reserved / rented the pavilion at the park for plenty of space and shade. More pics coming soon.

We're about a week and a half out to the date of the event

So a bit of an update - in the afternoon (assuming we have enough interest from BBQ participants), we are planning a nice cruise (30-40 mins) from Whalley Park to the Saville Dam in Barkhampsted, CT. Here is a photo that I borrowed off the net showing the actual reservoir:

The event is a wrap. I'm pretty sure everyone had a great time. I didn't always get the pictures of things along the way, too much running around. But here are a few of my pics. First up we had ~25 people at the BBQ with 20 cars of all vintages from FEP through current:

After clean-up, we had a group of about 9 cars that I led on a cruise from the park to the Saville Dam in Barkhampsted, CT.

Doug and Joe did the bulk of the work and all the cooking. (When I was married, my wife wouldn't let me in the kitchen. She knew my culinary abilities, or lack thereof.) All I did was pick up a few items and collected all the money!
