    Default Selling my 86 vert

New, lower price $6000. Make an offer...

After 6 years, the time has come to part ways with the vert. I am offering for sale my 1986 Mustang GT convertible. I love this car and I will miss this car, but I just don’t get to drive it enough. I’ve put a lot of time and effort into making this a nice, driver quality car. Hopefully one of my FEP brethren can give her a good home.

    The Car:
    1986 Mustang GT convertible
    5.0 Auto
Triple Black (original paint, but she’s a 20 footer)
Enkei 16x8 mesh wheels with custom center caps
    Also have 16x8 ROH ZR6 wheels & 16x7 Ponys
113,875 miles as I write this – had 108,xxx in July, 2012 when I bought it.
Spent its entire life in Texas
    Have Marti report
Body is straight, no rust anywhere
Has a 2 ˝” cowl hood with hydraulic struts & hood pins
LED tail light, marker & instrument cluster bulbs
    AC blows cold but leaks

What I’ve done over the last 6 years:
Too much to list here, but I’ll start with the major stuff…
Mass Air conversion with A9P computer
    BBK Cold Air Intake
MM full length subframe connectors – welded in
    BBK strut tower brace
3.73 gears installed & trac loc rebuilt – correct speedo gear installed
Convertible top motor replaced – no fluid leaks
    New distributor (MSD Street Fire)
Water pump, timing chain & cover, fan, fan clutch & harmonic balancer replaced – all new studs
3G alternator upgrade (new parts, not junkyard)
    Headlight relay upgrade
SVE 3row radiator, new shroud, new mounts, new thermostat, new hoses, new overflow tank
    SSP instrument cluster
Complete exhaust from headers to tailpipes
    BBK catted H-pipe
    Magnaflow mufflers
    New O2 sensors
Interior completely redone – seats, belts & sleeves, carpet, door panels
All new window motors, guide rod bushings & mounts
Lots of other stuff. just ask my wife!

    What does it need?
    Rear main seal
    Run channel weatherstrip (have)
    Quarter window dew wipes (have)
    Paint
Washer fluid reservoir (has one but it leaks)
    Center console mount & ashtray
Fog lights not working – probably a relay

The car runs great. It needs to be driven more often. Still has smog pump installed (and working). Codes are 11 across the board.
The tires were new when I bought the car, 225/50’s up front 245/50’s in back.
The top works great and has the tonneau cover.
Last year it won “Best ‘80’s and newer Mustang” at a local car show (out of 12 entries in that category)
Please feel free to reply below or PM me with any questions you may have.

    I’m asking $6000

I'll post more pics after I clean her up a bit
