What's the difference between the 82-85 and 86+ valve covers? I'm going to be doing VC gaskets on my '87 LTD this spring and I'm thinking it would be nice to refurb a set of valve covers before I pull the cruddy old ones.
82-84 Aluminum valve covers where thinner. 85 was a little thicker. They all look the same. Mine are off an 83. 86 was a totally different cover. That was the EFI style valve cover. The 94-95 Cobra valve covers I have are stamped steel with Cobra Stamped on them.
