Default brake line routing to proportioning valve

Can anyone help me out. I can't seem to find a good diagram of the complete routing of the brake lines from the master cylinder through the proportioning valve to the wheels. I working on a 86 LX 4 cylinder, that with get a v8 swap over the winter.

I was going to ask the same question. I purchased new lines from classic tube without any instructions.

On a 1986 2.3l, they are routed as follows.

m/c port nearest firewall to combination valve port nearest firewall on top.

m/c port nearest radiator to combination valve port nearest radiator on top.

Combination valve port on rear of valve to left front caliper.

Combination valve port on bottom nearest firewall to right front caliper.

Combination valve port on bottom nearest radiator to rear of car.

Since your car has a 7.5" differential and single exhaust, the rear brake line runs down the right side frame rail. Just in front of the axle, there is a hose that jumps to the right hand axle tube. The end of the hose has a tee on it with lines that run to each drum cylinder on the axle.

If you install dual exhaust in the car, you must reconfigure the rear brake line and hose routing to the 8.8" style. There are many threads on this site which cover that conversion.
