Default NOS 1983 to 1986 Mustang SSP Certified Calibration Speedometer

I have for sale a NOS 1983 to 1986 Mustang SSP Certified Calibration Speedometer. It is my understanding that this speedometer will fit into any model Mustang/Capri from 1979 to 1986 though will not match the other gauges from 79 to 82.

Size: 76.4 KB

The speedometer is in excellent NOS condition. No scratches, nicks or chips in the finish whatsoever. Speedometer needle is very vibrant as well as the entire face of the speedometer.

The speedometer has never been installed and comes in its NOS box.

There is still fresh lubricant in the speedometer cable hole.

This is truly in perfect condition.

Price is $375 Shipped to your door VIA USPS Priority Mail. Item is located in Whitestone NY 11357. I prefer not shipping out of country, though if you are really interested I can make it happen. Payment can be made through paypal or postal money order.

Thanks for looking and feel free to PM me with any questions you may have.

Two different versions of this speedometer were produced at a Ford Parts Plant in Saline, MI. The certified version for law enforcement and the model without the certified script for Ford SVO performance parts.

Thanks for the offer. I will keep what I have though. If it sells its fine. If not it will go into a nice 86 GT vert. Or the 85 if that ever craps out.

Then there are three--my ASC/McLaren Coupe 140 doesn't have a Certified or an SVO nomenclature.

Mine though is still available for 375 shipped. Sounds cheap considering what is going on in the above auction.

And how many of those did I have and sold for $150. Some guys here got them, so that is a good thing.

David - I'd put it on ebay and see what it does, if you have no takers here.

Makes me wonder what my NOS 170 BBK is actually worth

I like the looks of the certified speedometers a lot more than some of the other ones. The font and color doesn’t really match on some of the other 140 designs out there
