Default 1984 GT convertible - tan - what is correct?

This Mustang for sale on E-bay looks interesting, I could have sworn it was on FEP last year. It has a dreaded after market luggage rack on the trunk. The Ebay ad claims that Mustang is all original. Are the seats shown the original seats, are these seats correct for an '84? No red piping in '84? Also, it has black dash, I don't remember black dashes on any '84 Mustangs much less a tan/tan colored Mustang. Also, the holes on the drivers door, the carpeted portion of the door, what is that? Any other thoughts on this one?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you FEP.

Dash in not correct. The dashpad was tan also but the door carpet is correct for a convertible. The elastic door pouch is missing which makes it look funny. The seats are difficult to see but the fabric doesn't look correct and as I recall the 84 Sport Interior did not have the adjustment knob.

Yes, repro dash pad or cover that was not painted tan.
Door panels are correct with the high carpet panels, missing pockets.
Cluster and radio are correct for that year GT.
Missing the filler panel under the steering column.
Seats are correct. This year had thin stripes in the center seat panel. I have seen them in gray, red and tan. This seat was optional on the GT. The red piping was 85/86 with solid color inner panel.

Nice car. Steep price for Tan carbut someone has to start high to get the prices up.

I posted this one in the FYI something like 2 years ago. Not only is some of the interior wrong, the GT on the hood and the fender badges are placed wrong, meaning this has probably been repainted at one time. I wish I could remember what the price was back then.
