    Default Suspension/heavytire wear

    My 85 mustang gt convertible has a tire eating problem. 7 months to a yr ago right front tire dropped in a storm drain hole grate was 8+inches below rd n some damage was done. Rightside done 2 215 70 r15 in tires in exposed wire,broke wireoutside edge on 1st one. 2nd 1 both edges in month or less. Tends to VEER hard right when steering wheel is released at speed. Leftside only 1 tire 2+yrs any thoughts. James Vinson Chester,SC

    I would guess something is bent. An alignment check will help. Find out what it is. Based on what you’ve said something like a control arm is bent backwards causing extreme negative caster and the pull the right.

    Definitely something is bent. That's a hard drop.
