    Default best MAF conversion for my 86 GT

    hey guys . been mia from this site and my mustangs for a long time. finally starting to work on them. anyways i have a completely stock 86 GT and want to convert it to MAF . any recommendations for a good MAF kit ?

    I'd go with a Ford Motorsport kit if you can find one.
    They pop up every now and then on this site and on Ebay.

    MAF Pigtail and some rolls of wire - $30
    A9x ECU - $200 roughly
    Cut 50 pin connector for needed pins - $20
    Stock MAF meter and tubing - $50

    An afternoon of your time - Priceless

    I assume your asking for a 5.0L multiport injected manual car, correct?

    Pm me your email and I’ll send a doc that details exactly how to do it based upon my research. I used it on my 86. Others have also used it on their cars too. They can attest to if it’s any good or not.

    there are a few things unique to 86 and some even unique to early 86 cars. Mine is an early 86. It had a VM1 ECU. I run A9L these days. I have a cobra ECU and 24 lb injectors I plan to play with one of these days. With VSS disconnect switch of course. Who wants to give up huge amounts of timing and power when rolling over 85 mph..... Hell - that’s 2nd gear.
