Switches in door jamb..
Was removing interior from my 82 GT and noticed the switch in the door jamb was broken. Looking to replace but have a question. My car has on each side 1 switch in jamb on hinge side ( dome lights?) and 1 switch on striker side. I can only seem to find switch for dome light. What is other one for???

The "switch" on the striker side I believe is a release for the shoulder belt. When I open my door the shoulder belt will retract on its own.
My car is a 1985 GT hatchback.

Yeah that was a big fail on my part. I was pulling panel and when I got out I noticed "switch" not clipped to body. I tried to clip it and realized it was broken. Stuck my head in seen "wire" and thought Ill just order 2 didnt even look where cord went. Yes you are correct it goes to the seat belts.
I assume its not replaceable without a whole new belt. I guess I can just push it inside and put a rubber plug or something to cover hole?
