Default Mustang GT hatch decal placement

I have a new hatch decal for the trunk of my 85 Mustang GT. The problem is that the previous owner removed them and repainted so I have no frame of reference for where to place the replacement I recently got from LMR. Anyone have a reference from the bottom of the hatch and or left/right?

    Many thanks!

I don't have any specific measurements to help you and I doubt they are all exactly the same, but here is a picture from the Library of the 85 Sales Brochure.

Here is another from LMR that might help too.

Looks to be centered from top to bottom from bottom of hatch to bottom of spoiler and in from the left about 2 to 2-1/2 inches from the sales brochure pic.

Luck would have it that the hatch I am using to replace the rusty one on my 82 RS is a 1986 hatch. It has been repainted before, so the decal is not OEM, but I assume the placement is very close and at least gives some reference for you.

Since it's hard to get a good measurement from the outside of the hatch, I placed the end of the tape measure in the hatch lock opening center on the opening to get the measurements below.
