Default DIY / Homemade bumpsteer kit

Has anyone made their own bump steer kit?

yup. I used a special bolt from Speedway Motors that had the correct taper to fit in a ford spindle, then had a local machine shop make a tie rod sleeve that mated the heim joint that went on said bolt and the factory inner tie rod end. Spindle bolt was $10 each, Heim joint was about $15 each, I can't remember how much the sleeves cost me. I had two sets made, one for each of the mustangs I had at the time. Never installed the other set.

I was looking for something in my tool box and came across the info on the homemade bumpsteer kit I made. This is the special bolt. No drilling of the spindle needed.
