Default 86 trunk popper wiring -relay?

I have power at the push button, it throws the power when pushed... no power at the plug in for the solenoid. Is there a relay involved?
Seems very weird to just have a wire failure like this with no tampering/accidents.

Thanks, I did not think there was one either.

So much for an easy fix

The McLaren relays for the trunk and the pull-down motor are in the little green "logic" box in the left of the trunk.

You really need to be clear on what car you have if you expect quality help. Not everyone reads the 3 different web boards or Facebook pages you posted it on.

I get you Kevin, I thought this was a standard fox body system for the circuit, I didn't think ASC had a hand in changing the trunk circuit/wiring.

Thanks Mike, this is great info, I had no idea the trunk popper ran through there too. I will poke around on the ASC forums to see what I can find for info - if anyone has a schematic for this.

They had to: don't want the tonneau unlatched and the trunk open at the same time, paint gets gouged.

Suggest you download (and print) all of the "service manual" pages and the "convertible wiring" pages from "general info" from ascMcLaren.com.

    I don't remember where I got this:

Got it working! Looks as though someone was fiddling around in here before and a wire broke from the barrel connector
