    Default Fuel Filter Location

    When I removed the rear axle out of my coupe, I saw this in-line filter at the tank. Is this standard location for the filter on a carb's turbo 4?

    I wasn't expecting one here and by the looks of it, neither did anyone else... for decades. This is one of the clear filters you can see into. Might explain why the car misses bad.
