Thread: Roller Lifters

    Default Roller Lifters

I have always changed lifters with new cams.
Does it stand true for roller lifters?
    Next:
I am using a set of new ford performance m-6500-r302
Is the extra cost to upgrade to M-6500-302E for 300-400 more rpm's worth the $90.00 upgrade?
I will run max rpm's of 6500 at times...

If they're in good condition, you can reuse them, they don't form a wear pattern like a flat tappet does. I've reused MANY sets.

As for the difference in the two, I don't see the "E" listed anywhere, what is the claimed difference / upgrade? Those r302 should be good for 6500.

Roller lifters are fine with a different cam. I am utilizing the stock roller lifters in my 85 GT on an E-303 cam I turn well above 6,000 rpm.

Hey I'm old, the part number is M6500-R302H for the lifters.
