I really like this car. You are doing it so much justice right now.
Pretty shiny black, you’ve got to be pretty excited!

Where to start?

Very nice I can’t wait to be at that stage with mine.
Very nice! I am however doing it more like Johnny Cash, one piece at a time. Hopefully my kid likes it enough to finish it when I'm gone
Looks great!!!
1979 Indy Pace Car Mustang 302 / 5spd
1982 Mustang GT T-Top 302 / 4spd
1986 SVO Mustang - 1C
OK, I have a 302 engine out of an 87 crown vic. I am not changing the heads but was wondering what cam would compliment the 4 barrel carb that I am using. I am looking at a set of BBK equal length headers a H-pipe thru a set of 1986 mustang GT OEM duels as well (the duels are already installed)
Any thoughts?

I am replacing the brake hydraulics because it has been sitting for over 10 years

87 crown Vic had the same heads as the 86GT HO if memory serves me correctly
Id double check valve spring seat pressure but you should be able to thrown in a HO roller cam and go. Good to go to somewhere north of 6000 rpm with the right intake and headers.
155cfm per chamber on the intake side is not awesome but with a half decent cam it will run good. Throw some 1.7:1 rockers at it for fun while you are at it.
great progress. I hope my 85 catches up and has paint on the body and an interior in it with a running and driving everything else — soon!

Great license plate! This engine tail lights are spectacular too, I really like my '83 taillights, but dang the '82 and earlier lights look btchin'.
Agreed Dave. That's my take too although my SVO has the striped versions of yours. Maybe you could stripe yours in your trim colour?
This GLX is going to look so sharp fully redone! I really enjoyed the part of putting the car together after getting the paint done. Kind of that "It's all downhill from here!" feeling (but in a good way)

SUH-weet! Boy it’s going to look good all reassembled.
Does anyone have a SROD transmission?
Somehow I lost the shifter spacer
I can make one if I knew how thick it should be
There is no reference to it anywhere online
Any help would be greatly appreciated
