    Default Door lock problems

Hey guys got a problem with my door locks. My key wont turn in the lock to lock or unlock doors. If I reach in i can move the lever on the actuator to lock and unlock which i believe is the power lock lever. I can see the rod from the lock cylinder coming down in behind the actuator but no matter how hard I force it it wont budge. Ive tried spraying liquid wrench in it to free it up but to no avail. I'm assuming it's the right key as it works on my hatch. Anything else I can try or do I need all new locks? Also of note is I have no power to the car as motor and everything is out.

    Thanks

Sounds like frozen actuators. I’d drill the rivet or pop the actuator out of the bracket and change the door to manual the diagnose further from there.

Ok thanks. How do you pop the actuator out of the bracket? Would rather not drill out rivet st the moment.

The lock actuator is held in place by 2 pivot pins which sit in a rubber bushing. The bracket is plastic so just gently pry it out. I could not get it back in the bracket without removing it and reassemble it.

Pupil the rod out of the clip where it attaches to the lock cylinder. The make sure your key works that way. If it does you then you need actuators. It doesn't matter where you source new ones either. They are all junk. The only good ones are factory Ford and I don't know about availibity anymore
