Default Looking for this part above the mirror

Where can I source this trim part (see red circled item in picture) or what is the official part name on this piece to search the internet for a new one? I need a drivers side piece. Picture is of the passenger side. I don't need the actual window channel seal, but the hard plastic trim piece.

I've searched a few part sources online and have been coming up empty on finding a new one.

This is on a 1983 convertible.

    Thanks!

My 85 T top has those as well. Does anyone know if early t top cars also got these along with convertible? I'm planning a t top conversion on my Capri and have the roof and door glass... still collecting the little things.

These trim pieces were added to the convertibles and the T-top cars to cover up the cut window frames due to the modifications for the convertible and T-tops. The original plastic trim pieces were glue into the rubber gaskets and came as one unit. Obviously the plastic part is separate, but you get the idea.

Here are pictures of the NOS OEM ones I have for my 82 RS.

I am also in need of a drivers side one for my 84.5 t-top. Question though, do you have to use these or can they be replaced or modified with something else?

Here is my old one. Back side plastic to mount it is broke. Also second pic is of my drivers side door where mirror mounts. Looks like it was hit and bent.

This is not pointed at any one person...

No buying or selling parts outside of the classifieds. Do not reply to this post that you have or might have parts for sale. do not ask if anyone has any parts for sale. Use the classifieds. Thanks.

Are these the same as what I'm looking for? Found them at foxresto.

Yes, those are the seals/weatherstripping that is needed at the front of the doors for both T-top and Convertible models. Those are the reproductions of the parts I pictured above just without the hard plastic trim piece that goes around the mirror.

Ok thanks Trey, did not realize that that was just the rubber. Looked different where the plastic piece goes.

Cant believe no one makes that piece. You would think it be a pretty common.

I am surprised that someone hasn't reproduced them yet either. I have consider doing it myself, since I have the NOS set to work off of. Unfortunately I just haven't had the time to even try to work on that nor any of the other parts I want to replicate. Maybe someday.
