Default Question for 79 mustang owners

When I pulled my inner door panels off my 3-79 cobra , it only had one hole for the lower door handle . My other 7-79 had 2 holes . A lower and a upper hole for the up comming model year . What do you have ? 1 or 2 holes ?

My '79 Cobra has both holes in each door. Unfortunately, I don't know what month it was made in. I scraped the door jamb sticker off when I was preparing it for the body shop and never checked the date on it. I do have the build sheet (VERY hard to read) and the VIN #, but neither state what month it was made in. I also have the original owner's manual and warranty card. Will any of these hold information on the month of the actual build? The owner's manual has a typewritten sticker on the inside cover (possibly placed there by the dealer?) that has the owner's name, VIN #, and a date of 7/2/79 on it. I'm guessing that this may be the delivery date from the dealer to the original owner, and not the build date. Can anyone help me out with this?

Hissing cobra I have a date stamped on my wiper motor . Also under my interior panel that goes over the rear wheelwell and around the 1/4 glass . Both sides dated . One side stamped in white the other side is hand dated with like with a wax marker or something . Its very close to my build date . I guessing most wiper motors have been changed at least once in 24 years .

Now that I'm thinking about it, I believe that the top of my dashboard had a stamp (in yellow ink?) that said APR 1979 on it. I can't really remember, as it's been over a year since I painted and reinstalled it. I will however, have to remove the dash pad to finish wiring up my tach, so I'll look then.

Hissing cobra I just looked . I have a mint 04-79 sticker on the door . It has only one opening at the bottom of the door . To bad I had to replace the door . Is there a way to remove it , and put on another door ?

Mine has only 1 hole in the inner door panel. My car was stamped october or november of 78 on the radiator support.
