    Could be. Seems like a lot of stuff for a 350. Will ask again next time.
    Will prob be on display at another cruise.

    They take 3 on the tree, transplant it to a console hole, then cut it down and leave the stump.
    The old Chrysler transmission push buttons on the dash were cooler.
    Even HD GM truck Allison automatic push button pads were sportier.
    Nothing wrong with column shift auto in regular cars or pickups.

    Looks like a GT500 to me. GT350s are not supercharged.

    I think it's a 2020 GT500 with the track package due to the carbon wing and wheels.

    The heart and soul of the 2020 Shelby GT500 is a 5.2-liter V-8 engine force fed by a 2.65-liter Eaton supercharger spooling 12 psi. The supercharger is mounted low in the valley of the big V-8 with a low-profile design as Ford didn't want it to stick up and create a hood bulge.
    While the block is the same as the Shelby GT350's 5.2-liter engine, the internals are reworked, as the GT500 features a cross-plane crank along with with beefier block and cylinder walls, different bolt lengths, ribbing, and valve seats. To handle the G-forces around on the a race track, the GT500's oil pan features active baffling and side tanks. A magnesium tower brace is supposed to keep the engine from twisting.
    To keep everything cool, Ford's installed six heat exchangers into the front along with an auxiliary radiator.
    Ford didn't announce final power outputs, but said they would detail more closer to the car's launch this fall. One tantalizing detail: the GT500 will have more than 700 horsepower.
    All that power will go straight to the rear wheels via a Tremec 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox controlled via a rotary gear selector, with three of those forward gears being overdrives while 4th gear is a 1:1 ratio. Plastic steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters let drivers to control gear input. Even though the GT500 uses a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox like the Ford GT, they're different transmissions entirely due to the differences in engine configuration. Ford developed four drive modes for the transmission: normal, weather, sport, drag and track, and there's also a line lock feature.

    You know, performance car marketing has been a bit confusing lately. Let's take a look at a few examples. There was the C6 ZO6, Focus ST and GT350. Each was a car that didn't necessarily just focus on horsepower. Other models had come before them with more power. Each was marketed as "the ultimate track (insert model name here)", and held the highest spot in the model line for a short time. Each had some sort of unique technology that made it special. The ZO6 was it's 7.0L engine, the Focus was it's unusually tuned steering, the GT350 was its flat-plane crank engine. Each was superceded by a much more powerful version that was also tuned to handle. The ZR1, RS, and GT500. Each new top model deleted what had made the midlevel version special. The ZR1 went back to a 6.2L and slapped a power adder on it, the RS had more standard steering, and the GT500 has more of a standard Coyote with a power adder. And these aren't the only examples. "This amazing new technology is gonna be the next big thing!" "Eh, you don't need it." I wonder how/why that happens.

    And apparently the GT500's power figures have been announced.

    760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque

    A bazillion and two instead of a bazillion and one as first thought. "Not as much as the Demon and Redeye! Mopar or no car!!" "But the Mustang is way lighter than the Challenger!! Go blue oval!". Meh.

    Amazing car and agreed, confusing.
    Guess is they are mainly to lure average performance customers into showrooms.
    To get that power from 317 ci and none direct FI.
    No mistaking its a Mustang when styling clues are known. Lots still don't know what any new vehicle is without badges.

    Could have had something more sporty or trick hidden than a trans dial on the console.
    Dash buttons or something more clearer to select and lock down or lock out gear or accidental trans mode selection.
    But these will never be a dd but strictly a status symbol car show and production 'race' car.
    Contains expensive weight saving materials but strangely has a/c, radio computer, prob power windows, power mirrors, console.
    Extra weight dd items that hard core race cars do not have.

    Cant really be driven much due to all the special parts with limited future replacement availability for wear or damage repairs.

    And the talk about electric vehicles being expensive, no quick refuel, with little profit margin.
    Or autonomous robotics that are inflexible by nature and need constant babysitting?
    Why the rush to invest deeply in losing propositions prematurely?
    Driving a car has too many variables and priority choices for a slow non human computer.
    Robots basically do nothing without human input and external power. Why complicate the driving experience?

    Yah pricing begins at 15,685 over MSRP.
    That folks is 90,000+
    Dreams? How about nightmare cost of truck ownership if this is the future.
    Just how hard do they think people need to work and play?.
    Work harder forever to own one. Play time= none unless wealthy.
    Another company spending resources on products few will benefit from ever.

    That's why it doesn't surprise me at all Tesla claims their pickup will cost less than an F-150. NOT hard to do when you're talking about the loaded ones!

    Lose some customers? That's okay. They don't want small car customers anyway. They ain't got time to think strategically, long term about winning customers for life that will move up to larger cars.
