Default Posting photos - Post Photobucket...

So the disbelief and disgruntledness has finally worn off since photobucket decided to go all communist and do what they did and i'm thinking about updated and rebuilding my threads....

What is the best way to re-link the pictures? I know I'll have to go through them all but whats a good site to use?

    any good free ones?

I'm using flickr. There was a bit of a learning curve at first but now that I'm used to it I like it better than I ever did photobucket.

You can use any of the hosting sites you like. I used to use Photobucket, but obviously after their changes I have not.

Personally I would recommend using the Insert Image Icon in the Quick Reply box.

    Name: Photo insert.JPG
Views: 59
Size: 26.6 KB

Click on the Icon and that will generally bring up this pop up page.

    Name: Photo Uploader.JPG
Views: 59
Size: 27.7 KB

The page will generally bring up "From computer" the first time and then the "From URL" the second time, just click on "From Computer" again to upload a photo from your computer.

Then click on Choose File and find the pictures on your laptop and click Open. You should then have a pop up that looks similar to this. Simply click the upload and your photo should be inserted into your post.

    Name: Picture chosen.JPG
Views: 59
Size: 21.5 KB

This is how I upload all of my photos now, but then again I also download all my photos from my phone to my laptop and I generally only post off my laptop. I know I am an old fart at this point and for you younger generation that do everything on your phones this probably doesn't work. Anyway, Hopefully this helps someone.

I'm not sure any of these responses answers his question if I understand the question correctly. Those pictures basically (but not technically) belong to Photobucket now. You can not "link them" to somewhere else as you ask to any other site. You uploaded them and they are there. That's pretty much the end of that. Believe me, I had somewhere around 1,000 uploaded myself. They will not allow you to download them now. Essentially, they are holding your pictures hostage. Pay the money or give us the pictures. I can't wait until they go bankrupt. Thank goodness I have all of my originals.
If you have the originals still, there are many sites that you can upload them to that will allow you to host them for free. That is what the responses above refer to. If you still have the original copies, you will be fine and only have a learning curve to go through. Hopefully that helps.
