Default Project Rusty our 84t-top coupe

Guess we'll start a build thread over here, might be able to use all of you veteran foureyed owners expertise. We bought this car for a very reasonable price from another fox body enthusiast who actually saved it from salvage. We are saving the key chain with the name of the salvage yard. Here it is upon purchase

We messed around with wheels and the paint on the hood over summer.

And now we are down and dirty with it. Over summer we purchased parts at swaps,(doors, quarter panel, trim,...)The car was pretty loaded with rust...

So we did new floor pans

Then I fabbed some in floor subframes

Wanted to keep the t-top from twisting so i fabbed up a street cage

    Uncovered the build sheet too.

Found that the rear bumper support was shot

Here's as far as I can go tonight with the limit on pics, but I'll continue again.

Decided to fab up my own deep sump fuel tank and sink the battery box in the trunk...

    Cleaned off alot of undercoating..

Decided the easiest way to combat more rust would be to mini tub, so we chose Auto Weld Chassis for a kit and installed it myself..

you asked for it, I'll try to get caught up to where I'm really at. Rearend, found one 8.8 on The Corral, went and got it cleaned it up and installed some 2:73 I had laying around. And discovered this awesome new hammered paint by Rustoleum. Some of it i brushed, yes brushed, some of it i sprayed, looks like powder coating.

Pulled the front clip and wouldn,t ya know it, more rust

Next out like a bad tooth

This is close to where we're at with it, I'll get some more pic updates this weekend. Thanks all, appreciate all the encouragement.
