Do I have to take the console apart to adjust the parking brake cable equalizer? Or can I just spin the equalizer bar from under the trans tunnel then reconnect the cables? Looks like I need to let a little slack out for my new rear disc cables.

You should be able to remove the coin tray from the center console and that will allow you to pull up on the E brake handle to gain access to the adjusting nut on the threaded rod that goes from the handle down to the brake cables. Good luck!
