Nice find Fidel! You finally got that red/red car you always wanted although I guess the seats aren’t fully red.

I’m with you on the observation the forum is a little slow these days too.

Thanks darran, ya the seats are original color, but are faded. When i pulled them out you could see where they were faded from the original red.

Glad to be abler to lend a hand. It was cool to see how solid this car really is.

What blows my mind, is the intense fading of the seats, as opposed to the carpet. Also, the material on the back of the front seats matches the inserts. It doesn’t add up completely. I’m almost certain that these seats have been redone way back in the day, which is the only logical reason why such the difference in the front seat back material and the unreal fade.

Either way, we know the seats are correct, just not sure about the material. Man I wish this one could talk and help us solve the mystery!

These seats are immensely sun baked. I’m not sure they would live through a very good cleaning. Anything more than a very light blot bath with a sponge will probably finish them off.

The undersides where the sun didn’t get it is the same color as the inserts. I have never seen one fade like this! I thought Fidel bought had some funky seats, but they used to be all red. It is bizarre!

While the sun faded your seats to white, I’m officially red as a lobster.

Something just occurred to me; those seats were upholstered with custom material and were always Grey with Red piping/inserts. You can tell they are aftermarket since the insert is more velvet-looking, as opposed to the factory material(pictured). Regardless, what a cool find; 1 of 15!

Correct bryan, these would be the correct seats at least i would think. But the seats were red at some point, they are severely faded. But i agree the center insert is different then the sms sample i received.

If you take a hog-ring cutter to those covers, you'll find a second set underneath. The OE covers don't have corduroy on the back.

What i ment was the link you sent would be the correct material and pattern. And yes i figured the material on the back is incorrect, there is no other material under current material. But either way, i wish i could find a good sample of the correct stuff....
