1982 Mustang GL coupe. Untouched, very original I6 auto, with the exception of the wheels, which were the original steelies with the gray rotary hub caps. Those had to go. Everything works, except a weak washer fluid pump. Long list of repairs done. Just came to the harsh realization that I don't really have the time or space to give this car what it deserves. Just trying to recoup some of what I have in it. See link below for more pictures and list of repairs done. $4,500 obo. 66,000 original miles, clear title in my name. Wylie, Texas. https://postimg.cc/gallery/2e5tr9dlm/
The story: This car was owned by an older couple in Kentucky since new. From what I can gather off some old tattered invoices I found in the glove compartment, the husband died some time ago, and the wife kept the car around, even long after she stopped driving it. It was last inspected in Kentucky in 2012. In December 2017, the lady had to go live in assisted living, and her niece got power of attorney, and agreed to sell the car to the neighbor across the street, who had been begging the lady for years to sell it so he could get it to someone who would give it the life it deserves. He transported it to his friend in Nashville, who put a new battery in it, and put it on Craigslist, where I found it in January 2018. BIG TIME impulse buy for me, but I've enjoyed learning more about these cars that I love. My sister had the 2.3 liter twin to this car (white on red auto notch) when I was 10 years old, so when I saw it, I just had to have it. I put very little thought into the purchase, but have put considerable money into it, getting it back to it's original glory. The complete list is in the link. Hate to give it up after all invested, but it just doesn't fit into my life as well as expected. Thanks for reading! Send me an email if you're interested. cbdallas1@gmail.com
