Sorry but I don't know how to post a craigslist ad so I copied the post id number. Its under Washington D.C. It says they took it off a 83 GT and its fiberglass. I know there are a few styles similar to the 85 Saleen air dams but.....

That appears to be a Saleen front air dam. Looks identical to one we are installing on Erratic50's car right now.
Wish I were closer and I would snag it myself. That's a deal!

That’s insane. Pay cash and don’t ask any questions! RUN!
Don’t think too long. The song that comes to mind is already gone.
Incorrect for most 85 Saleens. Good price, yes, but only a handful of early cars had this air dam. Yours should have had urethane, with closed holes.
Sure beats the 1986 facia a lot of 85's are stuck wearing now.
Sexy Big Wing 85. 2nd 85 ever produced.... Made of unobtanium

Stop teasing. I didn't get it. Unless the first guy backs out.
Lee Reese tells me that was actually an '84 piece. Even rarer than '85s
They are the same I believe. There were only 3 1984’s ever built.
One was bought by Mikey - he must have liked it.

Correct...the three '84 airdams are made of fiberglass, and those carried over to the first dozen or so "Big Wing" cars in 1985. After that the 1985 specific airdamn was made of urethane. The the '86 changed all together to a one-piece design. The one from this ad, and the one on Erattic's build are '84/early 85 Fiberglass style. They are actually less "unobtanium" because the mold exists and they have been re-popped over the years. The 1985 urethane is probably harder to find than the early fiberglass.

Just for clarification -- the black car pictured above is Mike Charles' car. 1985-016 - the 2nd production Saleen ever made...... Its a big wing car and had the carry-over glass spoiler. Not my car. Its a very nice survivor -- I really like it....
Great part there. I just let my 85 glass front airdam go to the longtime owner of 85-0011. It’s a big wing car and the glass unit was correct for his restoration. Glad you found a prior correct part for your clone erratic.
85 Saleen Mustang(s)
Thanks BaconB8! If I could find an actual big wing spoiler I'd jump on it in a heartbeat. When building a tribute its important to not build anything 1/2 way. AFAIK the only ones that exist are the ones on the 15 big wing cars that were built. 3 1984's, 12 1985's. And that's it.
There are books on the topic, but there are inaccuracies in the book too. Would be neat to document the numbers on the confirmed big wing 15, who owns them, and where they are all these years later.
I'll probably eventually track down a Saleen S1 or a truck. Too bad the trucks are not AWD or 4x4 -- that would pretty much seal the deal for me but I'm not dealing with a 2WD daily truck in Nebraska. it just doesn't make sense.
Now you're just showing off!
Nice collection!

Those are later one piece airdams. Really nice and quite rare - good stuff!
Who has an early 85 Saleen that can get measurements off the heads of their rivets. I can guess based upon pictures but it would be good to know what was used.
Anyone? Anyone?
Bueller? Bueller?!
My NOS one has tape on the top, not sure about the underside.
