    Default 1982 T Top Coupe

I bought this car with full intentions on building it into a sweet ride....but at this point, I think I will see what TRADE offers I can get....or will sell it outright for $5000.....was a 6 cylinder, auto, air car...power windows...VERY SOLID ....frame rail was replaced on driver side....I personally did the repair...really looks good, only someone really looking to nit pick it would point it out....besides that, nice everywhere else.....Looking for other 4 eye cars...post them up....Remember this is a Roller....has tubular k member and arms, Strange adjustable struts, and coil overs...BBk .caster camber plates.....had a repaint at one point, but not full of mud....underside is very nice.....have a repairable pacecar nose and scoop for it.....car is located in Connelsville Pa....Name: 13439163_903555643128578_4086053427781539241_n.jpg

I'm surprised more people aren't interested. The t-top coupes are really sought after. It does have a few things going against it.... it's not a popular color, it's been repainted and had frame rail work done (not a deal breaker, but those of us who have dealt with rust on these cars are very leery), and it was a stock 6 banger. Personally, the only thing I listed that would put me off is the paint. I hate yellow foxes lol! So at your price point, I would have to factor in a new paint job.

On the other hand, man I'd love to have a t-top coupe! The wife would kill me if I brought another one home. I have 5 at the moment and the only one I'd consider selling, she won't let me (88gt).

Anyway, this should bump the ad for you. Should make someone a nice ride. I hope it stays in the FEP gang, when you end up selling!

Just my .02 on this although you didn't ask.

T-top Coupe is a rare Fox and that helps it's value.

Tubular K member, coil overs, etc. help it's value . . . to the right person. A stock original buyer will not be interested.

The frame rail repair is always a Red Flag to buyers. I will take your word that is was repaired well and correctly, but if I was an interested buyer I would want to be sure. Remember Trust but Verify!!

The color combo is a unique and rare offering that is not hugely popular. So for maximum value you need a buyer that wants that combo, who again is most likely going to be a stock/original guy (that means the K member etc. may be $$ deductions in his/her mind as he/she will want to swap them for stock)

For those of us who don''t like yellow and I believe the French Vanilla interior we are considering a full repaint and interior color change that adds to the cost of the vehicle in addition to all the remaining parts and pieces with it being a roller.

Bottom line I don't think your $5,000 asking price is reasonable for the average buyer for this type of vehicle with it's color combo, missing parts and pieces. With that said, it's your car and you can ask any price you want for it. If you are willing to wait and be patient for the right buyer with the right amount of $$$ you may in fact get your asking price or close to it, but IMHO it will not be a quick sale.

No disrespect meant, I just thought some additional information might be helpful. Good luck with the sale.

You have a unique car, and it for sure can become a sweet ride. But I think Trey has nailed the issues around it.

I'm a stock kind of guy. I can visualize this car back to stock, and it would be cool. But realistically, it might be past the point of being a good candidate.

Which means it is likely better to become a modified car. Nothing wrong with that. But I agree that most buyers will want to change the interior and/or paint.

My advice is to be patient. Even good condition, reasonably priced four eye cars don't necessarily sell quickly; the pool of potential buyers is not that large. But I would say this forum is the best place to find a buyer.

Just my two cents, and good luck.

I, for one, love the color combo. A hood scoop and trx's would look fantastic. Best of luck with the sale. I hope it goes to someone that appreciates how unique it is.
