In November I bought a 1985 ASC/Mclaren Capri Vert. A couple of weeks ago I picked up a pretty well stripped '88 ASC/Mclaren Mustang Vert. I'm a little confused about the Exhaust Manifolds on both of them. They don't look like what I understand OEM manifolds to look like which I believe is each exhaust port feeding into a single tube back to the exhaust.

The Capri manifold looks like a shorty header but strangely port 5 and 7 feed to a single pipe and 6 and 8 individually feed back to the collector.

The Mustang looks like a shorty header with all ports fed individually to the collector. Did ACS use different manifolds than OEM. Somebody please unconfuse this newbie to Ford products.
