Default Stock 85 air cleaner pieces

Can someone please take a few pics inside and outside of the small breather element that goes in the back of the air cleaner on an 85? I got a new filter and the hole in the air cleaner is a lot bigger than the tube on the filter. I can't compare because the old one is melted beyond recognition. Plus I need the elbow that goes on the end of the filter.

This clip is what holds the element housing onto the air cleaner base.

I have that clip. But the hole in the air cleaner is a lot bigger than the tube on the breather element.

The unit has a shoulder on it with a tab(s) that goes into the hole. Then the clip lines up with the slots in the shoulder holding it in exposing the smaller nipple. Clear as mud?

Check this link for reference. You may have to scroll through the pics depending on how the page opens.

Just pull the filter media out of the new one and stick it in the old one.

I can't. The old one is melted almost beyond recognition. That's why I wanted a couple pics. I'm not sure if I'm missing anything. The hole in the air cleaner is a lot bigger than the nipple on the new filter. The old filter nipple is literally melted off from the fire.

Thats what I needed. Thanks. The nipple on the filter I bought seems like it is really small in comparison to the hole in the air cleaner. But I see yours is the same so that is ok. Now I need to find the elbow that fits into the clip.

NPD sells it. I picked one up last summer.

They also list the breather elements you asked about in another post.
