Really neat old rides aren't they? I wonder how many anniversary or heritage coupes are still around. I sure haven't seen any at a car show in any condition in years.
I've seen one around the local scene here, but haven't gotten a chance to track down the owner yet. They do look very Fox-y and if you like Foxes, how can you not like them? And their rarity, even compared to F/Zs these days, makes them even more appealing to me!

I want the 255 crank and 2.26 gear ratio out of one. 18lbs lighter crank that bolts in and a 75mph idle speed would make a killer freeway cruiser.

I know a lot of people really hate this generation of Thunderbird and Cougar, but I don't think they look too bad. It was jaw dropping to hear that their volume had dropped over 85% from 1979 to 1982. That is crazy. I know there were other factors, but this car definitely missed the mark in terms of sales.

And the 83 sold almost as many cars its first late release model year then they did through out 80-82.
It was the same chassis, same interior and same brakes. The outside just looked dated.
