    Default Urgent harness question

I have a 86 capri but the engine harness was hacked out, (its will have the stock 5.0/5 speed) but i just found a 5.0 5 speed in the junkyard but its a 88.
can i use a 88 wire harness for the 86? will all the connectors match up? need to act fast before someone else gets it.....

I know the dash harness of the 1986 SEFI harness in the Mustang/Capri is unique to that year model. I believe the engine harness is unique, but more similar to the Aero cars than the dash. You can probably make a different year model work, but some of the connectors may be different, but I am not 100% on that one. Hopefully someone has better information.

I can almost guarantee the harness will not be a direct bolt in. But if you are going to put all the 88 f.i. Stuff on the engine then youll need it.

Get it! there is nothing that can't be done with an appropriate wire diagram. Stuff is getting harder to come by. I spiced a 94 harness into my 79. If concours show car isnt on your priority, it will be fine. Yes you may be short a plug here and there, but that too can be worked through. My .02, yours or others may vary
