Picked up some SVO seats. They are from two different years, but need covers anyway.
Well, I had an eye problem today ( I couldn't see myself going to work), so I spent the day polishing and detailing the car. Can't drive it tho, rain possibility. Anyway listening to tunes and drinking beer. It doesn't get any better!

I found an 85 saleen air dam at Carlisle for my car plus I got the car signed by Steve Saleen on Friday.

Thanks eratic. It's technically not correct because its a fiberglass one and mine should probably be urethane but I'll take what I can find seeing how scarce they are. Nobody except the most discerning saleen people will know the difference once it's painted and on the car.
I'm going to build a wooden crate to keep it in til I actually put it on the car. That won't be for a good while so it will have to be stored safely until then.
It was cool to meet Steve Saleen too. Hes a cool guy. I had my radar detector displayed on the dash. When he was done signing the dash he ask me what I needed that for. I said "I think you know" and he laughed at me.

And to top off my weekend today I won 3rd place in my class at Carlisle.
Took My Fox out and launched Her hard this weekend. She runs great and pulls hard. Only problem now is that 3rd gear is starting to slip a little as She did a while back. I really need to re-build the C4.

I went to visit my svo at the musuem today since it rained. I miss driving my car
Its been starting fine.
Does it about once a year if that. No pattern.
Car can be push started. Have done that myself a few times.
If something is acting up, park on a hill.
Back in the day, people bumped over engines with a big screwdriver there.
To set points, valve adjustments.
Push button remote starters work much better.
Lots of amps. Off road people have used batteries to do emergency welds.

Replaced shot ps rear lca. 6 hours total. Never been replaced. 300k+
Parts: Vg 85 SVO pass side arm from salvage. JEGS #60554 bolt kit.
Paint and touch up: VHT SP671 satin black. Duplicolor RBA100 for rust treat.
Spring compressor, 2 floor jacks, 2 jack stands.
Did not disconnect the shock. Reused all spring rubber items for now.
Front bolt no problem.
Rear bolt was not rusted to bushing. 150#+ would not move the nut. A 2 hour delay.
40y old nut got 60 sec of propane torch, 10 sec of Cyclo Breakaway Icy Blast, then reg Breakaway.
Took a 15 min break.
Bolt easily backed out with impact gun on bolt head, wrench on nut.
Used small floor jack to raise arm/spring. All bolts easily relined up. Applied antiseize. Torque fasteners.
Test drive. All ok. Finally no more on/off throttle pulling car left/right.
DS lower arm is fine. Uppers are SVT M-5500A's. Ground to fender lip, c/l wheel: PS 27" both, DS both the usual 1" lower.

crap-load of work. Sounds like the control arm battles on my 1986, except it has over 450K in Nebraska. Don't worry, they salt the hell out of the roads here too.
I've heard you can heat the hell out of the top side of a nut then touch the bottom of the stud with a wax candle it helps way more than anyone could ever have expected. Great on lugs rusted to wheel studs -- that I've tried.
The heat then quick chill sure broke the rust bond.
That can of Cyclo Ice actually contains propane and other stuff.
Had that failed, next step prob would have been the Sawzall.
The front control arm nut can only be accessed on an angle from the rocker area.
Been trying for years to get it loose. This time changed thinking 180.
Since the inside floor pan was cut out, had clear no-angle breaker bar access from top.
The bolt immediately snapped in half. An oh sh.t turned out for the good 1/2 hour later.
Actually used the broken stub as a pilot to align the rear bushing for its bolt.
Was short enough to fit thru the nut side. The new bolt pushed it out once home.
Was kind of hoping the old back bolt would snap too. May have saved time.
Never thought a bolt staying intact would be more work.

Reglued the ds outside window channel weatherstrtip with 3M WS adh.
Touched up trim and bumpers with trim spray.
Noticed the ps bottom corner plastic w/s trim is gone. Was loose.
Was on the freeway other day.
Something looked to fly up from that area. Thought i lost the wiper.
Bet that was the molding. Dang.
Lately nothing. Just driving her on weekends when I get the time to do so. Family life is #1 for Me right now. My 6 Year old Son just passed into the First Grade and is going for His yellow belt in ( Three Dragons Martial Arts Academy ). I'm so Proud of Him.

Not much on the Mustang, but I did buy another "classic" although not Ford it is the body style GMC truck I've always wanted. A 1994 GMC Sierra extended cab. No accident truck with a 5.7l TBI 251,000km (156,000 miles).Little bit of rust but it has been repaired. Just got the flares put on. Received my nerf bars and waiting on box rails and bull bar. Unfortunately my appendix literally exploded last Monday and I just got out of the hospital yesterday.I'm out of commission for 6 weeks according to the surgeon. No work on any of the vehicles until then. For some reason the pics won't load.
Tcapper -- you are lucky to be alive! Peritonitis is extremely common with a burst appendix and is absolutely NO joke! Plenty of people have died from it even while in a hospital getting treated.
Take care of yourself and you'll be back to 100% before you know it.
New attitude, H&R lowering springs, KYB AGX shocks & struts..meh, the Koni single adjustables I put on my 89 would be better me thinks. 92 GT brakes & spindles..Big thanks to my brother for his effort & stangman for the brake parts.

Pulled the 7.5 rear out of the pace car and installed the torque box reinforcement plates and aftermarket control arms. Going to try and get the 8.8 in tonight and start figuring out the rear brake lines. I have pretty much everything figured out except tying into the existing line. I have the correct bracket with the brake line fitting and the hose already connected to the rear. New hard lines already attached to the rear end and wheel cylinders.
What I didn't do. I bid on on set of asc mclaren wheels on ebay and lost. The wheels looked great but would have needed to repaint to match my car or repaint in mclaren blue to match wheels.
