    Default Rs turbo/svo clutch problems.?.?.?.

Hey everyone. Im having problems getting a good clutch pedal. Heres the details

79 rs turbo with an 86 svo drivetrain (trans. Bellhousing. Clutch cable and 86 pedal box)

i'm also using a firewall adjuster and a clutch quadrant and I still cant get a smooth engage feel. I've deleted the dog bone cable as well...
Is there something that doesn't jive with this setup? Cable stretched?

I have the firewall adjuster out pretty far in the cable is on the furthest hook on the Quadrant

The pedal just feels mush and I don't get that depress and release feel

Thanks in advance for any pointers

Sounds like the throwout bearing isnt sliding well on the tranny input shaft. Crawl under there and put a little grease on the shaft........then pump the pedal. Should feel better. You should have a 3 hook quadrent for more adjustments.start there.

Is it a stock replacement clutch or a heavier aftermarket clutch like Ram or Zoom?
If it is a stock replacement clutch there isn't much feel to them. They are small and lightweight feeling in comparison to a V8 clutch.
Also, what did you use to eliminate the dog bone???
I say this with experience since I have a 84 SVO with a stock clutch setup. After driving my 85 V8 car it feels like I am going to push the pedal thru the floor because it is so easy and light.

Throwout is smooth as butter. I verified because it felt like it was dragging. But, im going to try another quadrant. Thank you!

It could also be your clutch cable siezing up.......check your quadrent.....if its 2 prong, get a 3 prong. Thats what I run.......butter!. Good luck.
