I have a friend thinking about selling his 1986 5.0 coupe. The car is currently black with a dyed black interior. It is a running and driving car with a new suspension, brakes, rebuilt tranny and rear, and a long list of bolt on modifications. The issue with possible value is because the data plate breaks it down as an original 5.0 ,5spd, Dark Sable Brown coupe with tan interior. You can see remnants of the color under the rug and parts of the trunk. It looks like it is one of 24 coupes built in the color. I have been thinking about getting a four eye and would enjoy something different. The car needs the interior changed back to tan and the body needs some attention before a repaint back to the original color. The question is whether the color affects the value over a more readily available color? Thanks.
