I believe the seller is a member on here. Would be nice to hear him chime in to confirm what many of us have been speculating on some of these sales....did he get his $$ and actually sign over the title?

not sure why there is speculation that these cars do not sell. i have sold many cars at auction and bj or mecum writes the check to the seller and they collect from the buyer. buyer usually has 24 hours to settle. i really doubt they would fake sales just for tv viewers but you never know. i have spoken with a lot of the dealers that go to most of the auctions throughout the year and never had heard anyone talk about fake sales. the auction house already has the car title as the seller surrenders it prior to the sale. if car does not meet reserve the seller collects title and docs/parts and gets car back. if car is no reserve sell you sign over title to auction house prior to car going over block, its already sold.

My speculation is strictly on the Dennis Collins/Richard Rawlings "apparent scam" of last year. I think others have a lot more speculation than I.

I'll add to it by saying Dennis Collins sold a wrapper 7-up car and wrapper Triple White Feature last year for ridiculous $$....something like $50k and $70k or better as I recall. There was apparent video evidence of he and Richard Rawlings shill bidding them up. Then low and behold those cars show up on the Gas Monkey site and for sale on ebay. Now here we are a year later and what is in Dennis' show coral that is going across the block this weekend (part of his dozen or more collection) but a 7-up car and a Triple White Feature
