    Default Combination Valve Help

I'm new to the forum since November.
I have an '84 Capri RS I've had since new, bought in October of '83.
The car has been sitting in my garage unused for over 10 years.
Recently we started going through it to get it back on the road.
We just replaced all of the brakes but we found the combination valve all mucked up.
I need to replace it but not sure of what valve to get.
There are several that look like what I need but I need to know the fitting sizes before I commit to one.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Joe

Are you talking about the proportioning valve? If so, you can probably find a good used stock replacement or just go with an adjustable unit. Late Model Restoration should be able to help you out.

You could rebuild it yourself. YouTube video by muscle car research 87-93 Mustang.

Just take it apart and clean all of the parts and reassemble.

    Thanks for the replies.
I think I found another one if we can just get the lines off, they're fighting us.
I also ordered a rebuild kit just the same as the one i've ordered is not a new one.

Use the largest possible Crescent wrench on the nuts, DO NOT use a flare wrench. If the nuts are rounded, you can use the Vise-Grips for nut removal. These are not the normal Vise-Grips with teeth.

    Default Additional Information

If you're referring to V-jaw vise grips, I'll see if I can find a pair.
    Thanks for the advice.

    Edit
I found the pliers you're referring to (Irwin V-jaw vice grips part#7-LW) and I'll have a set tomorrow.
Hopefully these will do the job and this project can continue moving forward.

    Thanks again
